New Facebook COMMUNITY Page

‘It was doin’ my ‘ead in’. As they say in Sarf London.

I just couldn’t workout why I could no longer send messages to over 5000 members of the Facebook AIDS MEMORIAL Group page, just when I needed to, to tell you all about this new blog/info site.

I thought it was a bug when it happened yesterday, and sent a report form to FB but nothing. Zilch, Nada.

Then today I googled it and found a torrent of similar stories :http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=2378983609&topic=10655#topic_top

Tiresome though it is, facebook has decided in it’s constant quest for improving things, to break something already working very well. Once you reach 5000 members, that’s it, you can’t contact members at all, ( and no warning or explanation either ) so mucho apologies for the 27 people taken at random to be deleted, so I could hit 4999 and send 4999 messages to transfer folk to our new COMMUNITY page below.

The old Group page will remain and still build numbers. However it would really help if you could delete yourself from it and add yourself to LIKE the new page. This way we can keep numbers below 5000 on the group page and still message old members.

Creating a COMMUNITY PAGE will allow unlimited members to be updated, so longterm it’s the best deal. Thanks to the 5K members that sowed the seeds.

Here it is :

London Aids Memorial Campaign. We owe it to them.
